Quote of the Moment
What is already woven cannot be undone. It will not make the trees grow again for you to bring the building down on our heads.

Aginor

The man called Aginor was the second most powerful of the male Forsaken. He was originally named Ishar Morrad Chuain, and was one of the foremost biological scientists of the Age of Legends. He did not ascribe to the widely held belief that everything worth discovering had already been discovered.

He was one of the first Forsaken to turn to the Great Lord of the Dark. Aginor apparently turned to the Shadow so he could perform the experiments he wanted to. Before turning to the Dark One, he was reprimanded several times for performing unauthorized experiments. He used his skills as a biological scientist to help the Shadow tremendously. It was Aginor who created the Shadowspawn, the first of which were the Trollocs. Some of his creations are still very well known, such as the Draghkar.

Since his release...

Aginor was caught just beneath the seal on the Bore. As a result, he was one of the first of the Forsaken to escape. However, being caught near the seal on the Bore meant that he was also affected by the ravages of time, unlike most of the other Forsaken. His body was impossibly aged when he escaped the Bore.

Along with Balthamel, Aginor confronted Rand al'Thor and his party at the Eye of the World. Aginor was killed by Rand as they struggled to control the essence of saidin contained in the Eye of the World.

Since his death...

The Forsaken awoke from their imprisonment in an Age where their knowledge and powers made them seemingly invincible. But several of the male Forsaken quickly learned this was not the case, dying in the service of the Great Lord of the Dark. The Lord of the Grave, though, saw fit to resurrect Aginor. The Dark One renamed him Osan'gar.

The name Osan'gar, comes from one of a pair of blades used to fight duels during the Age of Legends. Osan'gar himself received the body of a Borderlander, one that is middle-aged and ordinary-looking.

The Great Lord of the Dark resurrected Osan'gar to be used as a tool. What specific function that tool was to perform, only the Dark One knows. However, Osan'gar masqueraded as the Asha'man Corlan Dashiva for many months - until he and some renegade Asha'man attempted to assassinate Rand al'Thor.

After the assassination attempt, Osan'gar disappeared until Rand and Nynaeve al'Meara used the Choedan Kal. While investigating their use, Osan'gar was spotted by the Aes Sedai Elza Penfel, who destroyed the hill he was on. Later, Cadsuane Sedai noted that one of the renegade Asha'man, Corlan Dashiva, was dead.
